Press release on the outcome of the 22nd meeting of States Parties of the Anti-Personnel Mines Ban Convention
On 6 December 2025, the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance (CMAA) issued a press release on the outcomes of the 22nd meeting of states parties of the Anti-Personnel Mines Ban Convention (the Ottawa Convention) held in Geneva. The meeting has officially approved Cambodia’s request for a third extension—covering the period 2026–2030—to complete the clearance and destruction of anti-personnel mines under Article 5 of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention, setting a new deadline of 31 December 2030.
